Privacy policy
fixtur keeps as little about you as it can, and you can download it or delete your account at any time.
Who we are
fixtur is run by One Size Analytics Limited (registered in England and Wales, company number 12613928; registered office Holt Court 2nd Floor, 16 Warwick Row, Coventry, England, CV1 1EJ), the controller of your personal data. Contact us at support@fixtur.co.uk.
What we keep
Your account
- Your email address. It’s how you sign in: we email you a six-digit code. Clerk, our sign-in provider, holds it for us.
- The name your friends see. You choose it, and you can change it in Settings.
- That you confirmed you’re 18 or over, and when. We never ask for your date of birth.
The game
- Your picks. We keep only your current pick for each match and when you last changed it, not a history of changes.
- Your leagues: the leagues you start or join, when you joined and left, and any league names you choose.
- Invites you create. We store a scrambled fingerprint of each invite link, never the link itself, plus when it expires and how often it’s been used.
- Nudges you send and receive.
- Your settings: what fixtur picks if you forget, and your favourite team if you choose one.
- Data download requests: when you asked and when the file was ready.
Technical information
- Our servers keep logs to run fixtur securely and fix problems. They identify you only by an internal number: no names, email addresses, IP addresses or invite links.
- To stop abuse, such as someone guessing invite links, we count requests by account and by IP address. The counts are held briefly in memory and never stored.
- When you sign up, a “Verify you are human” check from Cloudflare, run through Clerk, keeps out automated sign-ups.
This website
If you accept analytics cookies on fixtur.co.uk, Google Analytics records how the site is used: the pages you visit, how you arrived, your device and browser, and your approximate location, worked out from your IP address. If you don’t accept, none of this is collected. The cookie policy has the details.
Why we use it
- To run the game you signed up for (contract): your account, picks, leagues, tables, cups, recaps and nudges.
- To keep fixtur secure and fair (legitimate interests): logs, rate limits, bot checks, and making sure nobody sees a pick before its match kicks off.
- To understand how the website is used (consent): Google Analytics, only if you accept it. You can withdraw consent at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
- To meet legal obligations (legal obligation), where they apply.
Who sees what
- Other members of your leagues see the name you chose, your results and your points. Before a match kicks off they see only how many picks you’ve made, like “Dave 3/10”, never what you picked. Your pick for a match is shown to them once it kicks off.
- Clerk (Clerk, Inc.) provides sign-in and holds your email address.
- Cloudflare (Cloudflare, Inc.) provides the bot check at sign-up.
- Google (Google LLC) provides Google Analytics on this website, only if you accept it.
- Microsoft Azure hosts fixtur’s servers and database in the UK. This website is served from Azure’s network.
- We don’t sell your data, show ads or share it with anyone else, unless the law requires it.
Clerk, Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, the transfer is protected by safeguards UK law recognises, such as the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.
How long we keep it
- While you have an account, we keep what’s listed above.
- If you delete your account, we delete your Clerk account (with your email address) and your name. Your picks and results stay in your leagues’ history as “Deleted player”, so your friends’ tables, head-to-heads and cups don’t change. They’re no longer linked to your name or email.
- Invite links expire after 14 days.
- Server logs are kept for 30 days.
- Backups of the database are kept for up to 35 days, so deleted data leaves them within 35 days.
- Google Analytics data is kept for no more than 14 months.
Your rights
- Get a copy: Settings, then “Download my data”, gives you your profile, picks and leagues as a file. For anything else we hold, including your email address, ask us.
- Correct it: change your name in Settings, or ask us.
- Delete it: Settings, then “Delete my account”.
- Object to or restrict how we use it: contact us.
- Withdraw consent to analytics: “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
- Complain: you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We’d appreciate the chance to sort it out first.
